Join us on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 for the York Regional Police Career Expo 2018. This special event is designed to provide students and alumni who are interested in a policing career with an opportunity to get on the spot feedback, practice the fitness test, and speak directly with members of their Recruiting Unit.
All programs and years are invited.
THIS IS YOUR TIME to learn about an exciting, challenging and rewarding career at York Regional Police. Members of the Uniform Recruiting Unit will be at University of Guelph-Humber to shed light on your path to becoming a police constable at York Regional Police.

Session 1: 12pm - 2pm
Session 2: 2pm - 4pm
Session 3: 4:30pm - 6:30pm (females only)
Session 4: 6:30pm - 8:30pm (cancelled)

Follow these steps to start your career path:
1. Begin the application process:http://www.yrp.ca/en/careers/police-constables.asp
2. Submit Application Package to the Uniform Recruiting Unit at recruiting@yrp.ca with the subject line “Guelph-Humber Police Constable – First name, Last name”. Please ensure you review the Mandatory Checklist of Documents and meet the minimum requirements. All completed applications must be received by Friday, April 20, 2018
3. Attend the York Regional Police Career Expo at University of Guelph-Humber on Tuesday, March 20, 2018.
4. If your application has been successfully submitted, you will then be invited back to complete a Pre-Background Questionnaire (PBQ) on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 8:30am at the University of Guelph-Humber (Room TBD).
This opportunity is unlike any other opportunity that will be presented to you in the recruitment process.
Advance registration is required and space is limited as we are only accepting 25 attendees for each session (4 sessions in total). For participating in the Career Expo 2018 you will receive a Certificate of Accomplishment from the York Regional Police. Due to the popularity of this event, it will be first come first served but priority will be given to graduating students and alumni

Career & Placement Services connects employers and partners with students for course-related placements and internships. Events are held throughout the year to provide students with the opportunity to network with employers and learn what it takes to be successful in their chosen career. Staff also assist students with resume writing, interview skills and graduate school planning to support their plans for summer, part-time or full-time work, as well a plan for further education.
